Lenses, Film Size, Frame Rate: The Look of 2001 on Film

Thursday April 19 2018 6:30-8:30pm  location tbd

The production of 2001: A Space Odyssey took four years and was quite secretive. There was a team of over 100 people working to create the effects that made the moon, space, and beyond look as real as they still do today. (Remember, when Stanley was making this film, we had not yet landed on the moon!)

We will be focusing on his work with different lenses, film-size, slit-scan and his roots in photography.
